If you’ve worked with plywood at all, you know that there are many sub-par options out there. Particularly when it comes to those customers whose projects truly require marine-grade plywood (some who think they need marine-grade plywood actually don’t), we provide only the highest quality Bruynzeel marine plywood. With its modular approach, Bruynzeel offers the best in both quality and flexibility.
Truly the finest panel available, Bruynzeel meets many of our customers’ unique requirements with its extensive Okoume and Sapele product lines. They start with a stable core and then add a lightweight option as well as a denser, harder, stain-grade option.
When you consider the fact that we can customize the face veneers to match a project’s specifications, flexibility combines with high quality to make Bruynzeel the clear leader in this arena.
Because this line meets both the highest quality standards and has the capability of complying with any builder’s internal standards, we can recommend it for any boat builders.
Because Bruynzeel face veneers mimic the 1.5 mm thickness as the inner plies, the result is a balanced panel whose quality exceeds that of most other marine-grade plywood panels. When you consider the defect-free beauty of Okoume and include the capability of center-matched faces, the aesthetic capabilities are certainly impressive.
However, Okoume is not suitable for all applications, particularly flooring. For such a highly stressed area, we recommend the 100% Sapele panel, made from rotary-cut Sapele. Still boasting a surface free of seams and patches, the Sapele panel offers the durability that a denser, harder species can offer.
If a customer desires a matching veneer for various applications (Teak and Holly are popular choices), we can offer the same veneer for flooring as for cabinetry, just with cores comprised of different species.
For many applications, the homogenous surface of Okoume provides an ideal substrate that’s both lightweight and strong. If a stain-grade product is required, the deep red coloring of Sapele combines with the species’ durability and density for an excellent product that can stand alone.
For specialty projects or applications, we can customize a panel with your specific requirements in view. We can create a custom panel paired with a core made from either Sapele or Okoume, depending on the applicable durability, weight, and density requirements.
