Our Old Trail Collection puts a custom spin on today’s most in-demand flooring trend: hand-distressed flooring. Similar to our Authentic Hand-Scraped flooring, each floor in our Old Trail Collection is distressed by hand for a truly one-of-a-kind look.

Additional customization can be achieved by selecting an accent color to highlight the grain patterns and distress marks. (We currently offer the following accent color options: Cinnamon, Mocha, Smoke, or White.)

The Old Trail Collection comes in random widths of 4, 5 or 6 inches, but wider planks are available upon request. It’s sold pre-sanded with standard soft edges, ready for post-installation finishing. Tung Oil or other possible finishing methods are completed on site.

As our most popular collection, we proudly create each individual Old Trail floor according to each unique customer request.

American Cherry

We love the way Cherry allows us to highlight the natural graining while adding hand-distressing.

We recommend an accent color of either Mocha or Smoke for the most dramatic effect, providing a unique depth and warmth to any room.

Pine

Another domestic favorite, Old Trail Pine offers a lighter coloring than Cherry, ranging from white to pale yellow, and provides ample opportunities for character marks.

We offer a selection of three distinct varieties of Pine: Heart Pine, Reclaimed Heart Pine, and Eastern White Pine. Ask us which Pine variety will work best for your project.

Hickory

With plenty of sound knots and other character markings, Hickory provides additional attention-getting opportunities with the stark color contrast between its heartwood and sapwood.

With our hand-distressing, your Hickory flooring will possess the kind of versatility and enduring beauty that stand the test of time.

Red Oak

Thanks to our Old Trail Collection hand-distressing techniques, Rehmeyer takes this overly abundant, practical species and makes it into a true work of art! Builders and customers both love the stability and hardness of Red Oak, along with its bargain pricing.

With so many Red Oak floors on the market, though, you’ll want to make sure yours stands out. Our Old Trail Red Oak flooring includes plenty of character and hand distressing, virtually giving the once-bland Red Oak the attention-getting makeover it deserves.

Walnut

Our Old Trail Collection is our most popular flooring collection, and Walnut is the most asked-for species in it. You don’t need to be worried that buying a best-selling floor means yours will look like everyone else’s, though: Each floor is milled individually and distressed by hand, making each one completely distinctive.

This gorgeous species provides a deep chocolate brown color, the perfect backdrop for any décor.

White Oak

We start with character-grade White Oak and distress it by hand to create a beautiful but practical flooring option for busy families. Even the most active kids and pets won’t bother this resilient flooring.

With hand-distressing, it will complement a lived-in look while still putting its best foot forward. Distress marks mask daily wear-and-tear, and accent color highlights will draw eyes away from all those random items you forgot to put away.

Flush pegs and hand-beveled edges can add an additional “wow” factor to your already amazing floor.
