Rehmeyer Wood Floors: Old School and Proud of It

At Rehmeyer Wood Floors, we think some things should stay old school. Sure, we have a website (rehmeyerfloors.com) and appreciate the conveniences of online shopping for some things, but virtual tours and photos only go so far. Of course, other people’s first hand experiences and rave reviews from events like the Pennsylvania Street of Dreams help, too.

But we truly value — and welcome — real life, in-person, hands-on experiences. Maybe it’s because we take our custom, handcrafted wood floors seriously, right down to the meanings of those words.

Custom, Not Commercial

The heartbeat of our company is in our Custom and Extreme Custom Collections. The combination of widths, species, styles, and accent colors, and other options helps us ensure that each floor is truly one-of-a-kind.

Of course, the fact that we use real wood, complete with unique grain patterns and other distinctive markings, gives us an amazing canvas on which to showcase our workmanship. Our Extreme Custom flooring allows your creativity to run wild. There are literally no rules, just ideas and suggestions to fuel your own.

Authentic, Not Artificial

At Rehmeyer, “authentic” means exactly what you’d hope it to mean. Our Authentic Hand Scraped Collection are literally scraped, by hand, with old school hand tools, one board at a time. We sand, scrape, and apply the accent color using a method that’s uniquely ours. Skilled craftsmen run their hands over each board of your floor multiple times before the finished product is ready for installation.

You won’t see repetitive “wear marks” on any of our floors, but with our Authentic Hand Scraped Collection, you can also be sure that no power tools of any kind have been used. When we say “hand-scraped,” we mean it. Real hands, real scraping, real workmanship.

Service, Not Sales

One more old school characteristic we think you’ll appreciate about us is that we’re still small enough to appreciate each and every customer. You’re not just a number to us, and your order isn’t just revenue. We treat each customer like we want to be treated and make each floor to order. Does that take more time? Sure. But we think you’re worth it. Your floor is worth it.

We take pride in actually talking with our customers about their flooring needs, from décor style to budget. In fact, that’s what some say made the difference in their choosing us. So if a beautiful, handcrafted, made-to-order wood floor isn’t enough to draw you in, we hope our customer service will help you decide to let us create the wood floor of your dreams.
