Chosen often by customers for its versatility and classic styling, the Old Trail collection of hardwood flooring offered by Rehmeyer Wood Floors in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, is custom designed by a crew of skilled craftsmen. This one of a kind hardwood flooring is hand distressed using special tools that bring out the natural characteristics of different species of wood.

Within the Old Trail Collection, a customer can choose from six standard species of wood including White Oak, Walnut, Hickory, American Cherry, Red Oak, and Pine. However, the Old Trail Collection Styling is also available on many additional types of wood species by customer request.

If you have kids or family pets, you may choose the White Oak option which is created with an accent color that can easily hide wear and tear marks, while showing off the natural characteristics and grain of the wood species. This custom milled hardwood flooring option has been a top choice for many years.

If you are looking for a truly unique hardwood flooring that is unlike any other, then the Old Trail Collection Walnut is hand milled to accentuate beautiful features that will vary from plank to plank. This option has been installed in the US and Canada and is known for deep rich tones that will vary from one board to another.

If you are looking for hardwood flooring that can be versatile in both traditional and contemporary layouts, the Old Trail Collection Hickory offers a great mixture of knots and characteristics with astonishing color contrasts between the heart and sap of the wood species.

While all of the Old Trail Collection options highlight the natural characteristics of the wood type while also emphasizing the hand distressed styling, the American Cherry can be crafted with accent colors and random widths to create color and style that are like no other flooring option.

A favorite of many builders, the Old Trail Red Oak is readily available and chosen often for its hardness and price point. However, the standard red oak floors available on the market won’t compare to the hand distressed finish that Rehmeyer Wood Floors can provide.

While many choose a standard pine floor, at Rehmeyer Wood Floors you can choose from an Eastern White Pine, a Heart Pine, or a Reclaimed Heart Pine. Highly desirable, reclaimed pine is often derived from salvaged wood dating from the pre-1900’s which is then resawn and milled to perfection. It is simply a historical masterpiece.

All of the species from the Old Trail Collection are be hand distressed and pre-sanded. Finishing will be completed on the building site. A Tung Oil Finish from Rehmeyer Wood Floors will provide a deep penetrating, long lasting option that will keep your floors beautiful for years to come.

Standard on the Old Trail Collection are random widths of 4”, 5”, and 6”. However, if you want to showcase a great room, wider custom widths can be created by request. Also standard are soft edges. However, if you want to further customize your flooring, hand-beveled edges can also be created. If you are looking for that accent color to make your flooring stand out, you can choose from options such as Smoke, Mocha, Cinnamon or White.

Don’t forget to accessorize your hardwood floor. Matching accessories such as floor vents can be created by simply providing your duct sizes and desired dimensions. Place the finishing touches on your floor with custom casting, crown, chair rail and base mouldings. The possibilities and customizations available in the Old Trail Collection are only limited by your imagination. By exploring the many options available, it is clear why this collection is Rehmeyer Wood Floors’ most popular flooring.
