At the heart of X10’s wide assortment of home security solutions is an impressive collection of WiFi-enabled Airsight cameras. Each boasts an impressive collection of features, including exceptional durability, user-friendly setup, and linking to Android or Apple smartphones. All those components combine to provide you with affordable video cameras with remote access for all your home security, intercommunications, and child monitoring needs.
In another post, we explored the 3 Airsight camera models suitable for outdoor use, and now we’ll begin comparing and contrasting the five current indoor Airsight camera models by X10.
Indoor Camera Applications
Like other Airsight cameras, these models are great for any time of day or night, thanks to light sensors. Like the outdoor X10 Airsight cameras, these indoor models can be used for home security purposes. However, they also allow for 2-way audio communications via loud, clear speakers and sensitive microphones, allowing uses to expand to include replacing your existing low-tech baby monitor or providing a video-enhanced intercom system for easy communication throughout your home, especially if you have a spacious or sprawling layout.
You can also use them as nanny cams, to check in on (and communicate with) your older kids when you’re away from home. You can choose to set up your phone to notify you when your camera’s motion sensors have been activated or to continually display live video feed.
Well-Loved Indoor Camera Models
The indoor counterpart to the XX52A Airsight Outdoor Wireless Camera, the XX51A Airsight Indoor Wireless Camera is our most basic indoor-only model. It includes remote pan-and-tilt technology, allowing you to potentially view an entire room, depending on the unit’s placement. The XX52A is equipped with Easy Scan QR setup.
Slightly more advanced, the XX69A Airsight Indoor Wireless Camera captures 720p HD video and allows you to stream the same high-quality HD video to your Apple or Android device. Like the XX52A, the XX69A includes remote pan-and-tilt technology, allowing you to view many areas of a room. It also includes Easy Scan QR setup. One distinction is that in addition to recording video to your phone, this model provides the option of backing up video to an SD card. Depending on your card size, you can potentially store up to 24 days of video footage; alternatively, you can program your camera to record only when motion is detected.
In addition to the two classic indoor Airsight camera models and three outdoor models, X10 has recently unveiled three all-new indoor cameras that have some pretty impressive new features, making them even more user-friendly than ever!
