From online tithing to other online giving and electronic giving solutions for churches and other Christian ministries, EGiving has online giving tools that can benefit nearly every church or parachurch ministry. As long as your organization is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations and is thoroughly Christian in its mission, you’re a prime candidate for partnering with eGiving.com.
Since EGiving itself is a ministry to ministries, we don’t think of the groups we serve as “clients” or “customers” but as “ministry partners.” Many of the groups with which we partner are parachurch ministries that would fit into one of the following categories:
• Pregnancy centers, inner-city missions, and other works of mercy
• Offshore missions and individual missionary groups
• Christian schools and Bible ministries
• Traveling evangelists and other itinerant ministries
• Christian radio stations, TV ministries, and TV stations
Basically, anyone relying on regular support in order to do the Lord’s work can benefit from the electronic and online giving tools provided through Egiving.com.
While many of our tools are highly effective for parachurch ministries that often lack regular face-to-face interaction with their giver base, churches can also benefit from our services. Especially in our increasingly mobile society in which people travel often, recurring electronic giving solutions and online tithing can help churches maintain the stability that comes with regular weekly giving and a balanced budget.
If you represent a church that seeks to begin using the eGiving Management Tool, our support staff can guide you through progressively introducing various features of the program over your first year, depending on your leadership team’s comfort level and the demographics of your congregation.
Typically, both churches and parachurch organizations see a 95% retention rate in e-givers throughout a 5-year period, providing more faithful support than they otherwise would receive. Seasonal slumps quickly become a problem of the past.
Of course, just like your ministry, the eGiving ministry does require funding in order to continue serving ministries like yours. Account set-up fees are currently $100 for a para-church organization and $200 for a church. That fee covers initial training, customization, and setup. Monthly fees are currently $30 plus $0.25 per transaction fees, in addition to credit and debit card fees, which average between 2.1 and 2.2%. (Because of the fees connected with accepting plastic, we recommend encouraging gifts through ACH, whenever possible.)
Even though there are fees for our services, they are significantly less than secular groups that offer online and electronic tools that are similar to ours. In addition, the training, support, and format that come with our tools are specifically designed for Christian ministries.
Our aim is to help your ministry go forward, for the Lord, not to make money off your ministry. In fact, our founder and co-founder, George and Louise Eusterman, have led the organization as volunteers since it started in 2000. They retired debt-free from their secular occupations in the health care industry and are using the freedom that comes with these years to invest in eternity.
