Senior year is a milestone unlike any other. It marks the culmination of years of hard work, personal growth, and unforgettable memories – and it deserves to be celebrated in a way that feels authentic, meaningful, and completely personal. For families and high school seniors in York County, Pennsylvania, and across Baltimore and Harford Counties in Maryland, PhotoArtGraphy offers a senior portrait photography experience that goes far beyond the traditional, one-size-fits-all session.
Based in New Freedom, Pennsylvania, PhotoArtGraphy is a boutique, independent photography business led by primary photographer Drew Jensen, whose three decades of professional experience bring artistry, technical mastery, and genuine connection to every session. With a commitment to extreme customization, personalized service, and creative freedom, PhotoArtGraphy is redefining what senior portraits can be.
Moving Beyond the Traditional Senior Portrait
Anyone who has experienced the typical “bulk” senior portrait session knows the routine: a short time slot, a limited backdrop, minimal outfit changes, and very little room for individuality. While convenient, these sessions often fail to capture who a senior truly is at this pivotal moment in their life.
PhotoArtGraphy was founded on the belief that senior portraits should be as unique as the student being photographed. Instead of rushed sessions and cookie-cutter results, PhotoArtGraphy provides a fully customized senior portrait experience designed around each senior’s personality, interests, and vision.
From the first consultation to the final edited images, every aspect of the process is tailored specifically to the client. The result is not just a set of photos, but a collection of images that tell a story – their story.
A Photographer with Experience You Can Trust
At the heart of PhotoArtGraphy is Drew Jensen, a seasoned photographer with over 30 years of experience behind the camera. This depth of experience means more than just technical proficiency; it translates into an ability to adapt to any environment, lighting condition, or creative challenge.
Drew understands how to work with seniors who may feel nervous or unsure in front of the camera, helping them relax and feel confident throughout the session. His approach is collaborative and encouraging, ensuring that each senior feels heard, respected, and excited about the process.
This level of professionalism and experience is one of the defining factors that sets PhotoArtGraphy apart from larger studios and national photography chains.
Photography That Comes to You
One of PhotoArtGraphy’s most distinctive features is its mobile approach to photography. Rather than requiring clients to travel to a studio, PhotoArtGraphy travels to the senior’s home or location of choice. This opens up endless creative possibilities and makes sessions far more personal and convenient.
Whether the senior wants to be photographed in their backyard, at a favorite park, on a family farm, in an urban setting, or somewhere deeply meaningful to them, PhotoArtGraphy makes it happen. Sessions can even take place at multiple locations, allowing for a wide variety of looks and atmospheres in a single shoot.
In some cases, senior portrait sessions can be spread across multiple days, ensuring the perfect lighting, weather, and overall experience – something simply not possible with standard studio sessions.
Complete Creative Customization
Customization is at the core of every PhotoArtGraphy senior portrait session. Seniors are encouraged to be as creative and expressive as they like, with full control over the look and feel of their images.
Location selection is entirely up to the client, from open fields and wooded areas to urban landscapes and personal spaces. Outfit choices can include multiple wardrobe changes to reflect different styles, moods, or activities. PhotoArtGraphy even offers a portable changing tent, making wardrobe changes easy and private – even in remote locations like fields, forests, or parks.
Lighting is fully customizable, allowing for everything from soft, natural light to more dramatic and stylized effects. For seniors who want something truly unique, PhotoArtGraphy can also incorporate special effects to a degree, adding artistic flair that elevates portraits into something unforgettable.
This flexibility allows each session to be as bold, subtle, classic, or creative as the senior desires.
Designed Around the Senior’s Vision
What truly distinguishes PhotoArtGraphy is its dedication to personalization. Senior portrait sessions are not just about taking pictures – they’re about collaboration. Drew works closely with each senior and their family to understand their ideas, interests, hobbies, and goals for the shoot.
Whether a senior wants to highlight athletics, music, academic achievements, or simply capture their personality in a natural way, the session is designed around those priorities. No two sessions are ever the same, because no two seniors are the same.
This personalized approach ensures that the final images feel authentic and meaningful, rather than staged or generic.
Serving Pennsylvania & Maryland with Boutique Care
PhotoArtGraphy proudly serves York County, Pennsylvania, as well as Baltimore County and Harford County in Maryland. This regional focus allows for a deep understanding of local landscapes, communities, and unique locations that can enhance each senior portrait session.
As a boutique photography business, PhotoArtGraphy intentionally limits the number of sessions it takes on, ensuring that every client receives attentive, high-quality service. This commitment to excellence is evident in every interaction, from the initial inquiry to the delivery of final images.
Custom Pricing for a Truly Custom Experience
Just as no two senior portrait sessions are alike, PhotoArtGraphy’s pricing is completely custom. Rather than offering rigid packages, PhotoArtGraphy develops personalized quotes based on each client’s specific needs, preferences, locations, session length, and creative goals.
This flexible pricing model ensures that families are only paying for what truly matters to them, while still receiving a premium, professional experience. Transparency and collaboration are key parts of the process, making it easy to design a session that fits both vision and budget.
Professional Deliverables That Last a Lifetime
After the session, clients receive professionally edited digital images that reflect PhotoArtGraphy’s commitment to quality and artistry. Each image is carefully refined to enhance color, lighting, and overall impact while maintaining a natural and authentic look.
In addition to digital images, PhotoArtGraphy offers a wide variety of printed products available for purchase. From classic prints to heirloom-quality display options, these products allow families to showcase and preserve senior portraits for years to come.

Senior portraits are more than just photos – they are a celebration of a once-in-a-lifetime moment. With PhotoArtGraphy, seniors receive an experience that honors who they are, where they’ve been, and where they’re going.
