Protect Your PC With Anti-Virus Software on a Flash Drive

Last updated on November 10, 2010 by Sozo Staff 2 Comments

Few things are more frustrating than trying to use a computer riddled with viruses, spyware, or malware. It’s happened to all of us – you’re going about your business online when you click some link and, suddenly, windows start popping up, error messages appear in the taskbar, programs freeze, and so on. You may loose important data or files you had been working on for hours and it may seem like there’s little you can do. You can literally spend days trying to find a way to rid your computer of infectious software. You may eventually give up and take your computer to a professional to do the job for you, a service which can be very expensive and time consuming.

However, there is another option which gives you a way to fix your computer quickly and effectively, without needing to go through the complicated steps few of us can understand. Even if the virus or spyware on your PC is preventing you from running programs from your hard drive, using a USB flash drive allows you to deal with viruses in a way which doesn’t require an internet connection.

Anti-virus and anti-spyware programs can be loaded onto a flash drive in the event that a virus infects the computer and shuts down your ability to run programs from your hard drive. These programs can then be run when connected to any computer, anywhere. Most popular programs offer portable applications that can even be preloaded on the flash drive by the drive manufacturer (this is true for all other file types, too). Some older programs might not come with the capability to run programs from a flash drive, but there are more than enough free downloads and applications that allow you to run the program portably.

With enough storage space on a flash drive, applications and programs for dealing with all kinds of computer problems can be preloaded and ready to run the moment the drive’s plugged in. Some of the best USB drive companies in Canada and elsewhere can handle bulk flash drive orders and preload each and every one with the same programs and files. This is convenient for companies offering flash drives to employees or as promotional items – the users themselves aren’t required to set up the flash drives as an anti-virus device. This also brings uniformity and consistency to office computer systems and operations.

Companies which offer flash drives to employees or as a gift to customers can customize the drives according to style, color, size, and more. Most manufacturers have the ability to print or etch a custom logo or brand name, as well.

Be prepared the next time your personal or work computer becomes infected with malicious software. Load your flash drive today with up-to-date anti-virus and anti-spyware programs.

In my opinion, using an “Anti Virus Live CD” is more convenient and reliable, because it’s “bootable” and no virus can infect the CD!
