Stamp That Scrapbooking Club Kickoff

Last updated on September 29, 2008 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

Do you have zillions of photographs sitting at home waiting to be scrapbooked?  Or worse yet, do you have zillions of photographs waiting to be printed and then be put into scrapbooks?  That would be me!  I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Southern York County, PA so scrapbooking and cardmaking are part of my “job description” but I still just can’t keep up!

I have picture of my sons, ages 4 1/2, 2 1/2 and 9 months as well as pictures way back from college and our wedding that need to be taken care of.  I guess in some ways it’s actually a good thing that I often forget to take a camera with me on little trips that we make.  Of course there’s the whole third child syndrome too which means I hardly ever remember to take pictures of the little guy.  I don’t know where I’d be if I had as many pictures of him as I do of the first!

Well, I’ve come up with a way to remedy that!  I am starting a scrapbooking club.  I know there are lots of others out there who need help getting their pages done and I need the motivation so . . . here we go!  The club will be meeting the first Monday of each month in the basement of a local church in New Freedom, PA.  We will make six 12″x12″ scrapbook pages each time we get together.

The cost for the club is just $15.00 each month, paying one month in advance.  I am asking participants to commit to six months with the club so I will not have to go crazy preparing for one one month and ten the next and so on.  I need to have enough to make it worth my while when ordering supplies.

I have marked my calendar of events through December with the club dates as well as my schedule of other stamping events in York, PA and surrounding areas.  My Creative Stamping Projects page has a variety of samples of my work (as well as a few from Stampin’ Up!).

I am attaching a picture of a scrapbook page similar to one we will make at our first club meeting.  There will be some variation in color and accessories used but you can get the idea of what we’re doing.  I have ladies already signing up for this great club but I am always looking for more.  If you have any interest in contacting me regarding this Scrapbook Club in New Freedom, PA, please visit the Contact Me page of my website.  I would love to hear from you!
