Build Your Own Home Automation System with These Popular 4 X10 Products

When it comes to home automation, X10 recognizes the fact that each home is unique, and each individual has personal preferences and budgetary constraints that come into play when building a home automation system. While we offer a variety of Home Automation Kits such as a basic Starter Kit that prove you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars — or even a full $100! — to start automating your home, you can also build your own custom system piece-by-piece, ensuring that it’s just the right fit for your home, for your budget, and for you.

WS467 Wall Switch Module

The WS467 Wall Switch Module is one of our top 20 selling items. It can replace a standard-sized toggle-style light switch, fitting with your existing wall plate.

The simple push-button installation allows you to pair any switch operated lighting in your home with any X10 controller. Perfect for either incandescent lighting or dimmable alternative lighting, the WS467 includes a soft start feature as well as dimming capabilities that add extra luxury and cost savings, by extending the life of your light bulbs.

For ultimate cost savings, the WS467 can also be purchased in a 4-pack.

SS13A Slimline Switch Decorator White

SS13A Slimline Decorator Wireless Switch

Favored as much as the WS467 Wall Switch Module, the SS13A Slimline Switch Decorator White provides automation with versatility.

This sticky-back module can be placed anywhere you would like it to go, without having to cut a hole in the wall or re-wire your home. At the same time, the switch plate will look just like the other standard white switch plates throughout your home.

Again, the programming is easy, and each of the four buttons on the SS13A can be programmed to control a different light fixture or appliance. You can also purchase a 3-pack of SS13A units as a package deal, to save money.

HR12A Hand Remote

The next item on the list of most sought-after X10 home automation products is the HR12A Hand Remote, also referred to as the PalmPad.

The HR12A allows you to control up to 16 unique X10 addresses, which can translate into even more automated devices, since each address can have multiple items attached to it.

This remote also supports dimming, and because it operates on Radio Frequency, it does not require a line of sight for operation.

The HR12A Hand Remote can be purchased individually or in a 3-pack.

XPFM Inline Receiver Module

Unlike the three X10 home automation products listed above, the XPFM Inline Receiver Module takes a little more effort for installation; however, the payoff makes that added time and energy worthwhile.

The XPFM Inline Receiver Module requires hard-wiring into ceiling fans, light fixtures, or other hard-wired appliances, allowing them to be controlled with your favorite X10 controller.

Once mounted inside a light fixture or electrical box, the XPDF provides powerline signal control for any 120V inductive loads that are 15A or lower.
