We moved into our new house just a year ago after much fanfare. We’d bought a house adjoining a meadow with a lovely view of the valley by the side. A lake about 400 yards away and a track leading right to our door step. It looked wonderful during the day! We had first seen the house during the day, and then when we came to buy it, the property agent showed it to us again during the day. Bright sunlight; beautiful!!
When we finally moved in, it struck us that the lighting in the house was terrible. Actually there wasn’t much lighting in the house in the first place. We had to go in for a lighting expert. Me and my husband scanned the local yellow pages, but to no avail. None in the local directory suited our budget or offered us something which appealed to our taste. Then Paul, my husband, saw The Home Automation Store. He was surfing the Internet and came across the website. It seemed to have all we needed. Lighting systems, security solutions, dimmers, alarms and the works. We poured over the website for a long time wondering what we should buy. Their prices fit our budget and also appealed to our taste in furnishing. Some of the things which we found very attractive were:
X10 Decorator Dimmer Switch (WS12A). This is an ideal tool to remotely control your lighting requirements and also make the lights dimmable. This essential piece of an X10 automation network is inserted in a manner such that it can respond to any command of a X10 home lighting solution network. The switch can also be used to maintain local control of light conditions in a home or an office or any false ceiling. Available in attractive packing and cover to suite any wall/furnishing. The Home Automation Store sells this great buy for $11.99 instead of the $19.99 recommended by the manufacturer.
X10 64-Event LCD Mini Timer (MT12A). This timer is the best available in the market to schedule the timing of activation of your X10 lighting devices. This tiny, alarm clock can easily be set to time your devices to switch on or off, there by making the home safe as well energy efficient. With enough memory to control the switching on and off of up to eight different devices, this timer at $22.99 against a manufacturer’s recommended price of $29.99 is a great buy. Also available at the Home Automation Store website, it carries with it the assurance of great quality. Working at 120V AC, this can be used under any standard condition.
The X10 Home Automation Store (x10.com) ships via UPSP International Priority Mail, and they even accept paypal for payment. This will be one place we buy from when we make our purchases.
