Once upon a time, quality furniture meant boring and old, and technology meant plain and black. With the Bellamy Smartstuff™ collection, featured at The Bedroom Source furniture showroom on Long Island, graceful form meets superior function. Underneath its vintage, Shabby Chic appearance, the Bellamy collection has strong bones and smart features that are sure to whisk your sweet princess into her next fairy tale, dream world, or real life adventure.
Shabby Chic Design
You’ll sense a whimsical, vintage look and feel — reminiscent of Victorian design and yet more casual and airy. With a textured Daisy white finish, along with Accent Rose and French Grey highlights, Bellamy is rich in charm. Unlike the sharp corners and utilitarian straight lines of technology, each piece speaks of luxurious beauty with details like carefully crafted molding, case fronts, and turned bun feet. The faded colors, scrolling lines, and textured feel combine to create a dreamy feminine design.
Strong Bones
Just like the confident young woman you’re raising, the outward elegance in no way negates the strength behind the beauty of Bellamy. While some children’s furniture is built to be less sturdy than what’s made for adults, Smartstuff furniture is even more carefully constructed to provide optimal safety for your precious ones.
To give you a hint of the quality construction used, drawer walls are all 9/16” thick, with English dovetailing and screwed-in back panels. Self-closing drawers have full-extension metal drawer guides and are tested to 50,000 cycles.
Many safety features help reduce chances of various types of injuries. Here are a few notable ones:
• Bed rails that bolt together firmly & plywood slat roll foundation
• Softened corners and edges & lead-free finishes
• Anti-tip restraint hardware & adjustable levelers
• Wide, grooved ladder steps & built-in drawer stops.
Smart Features
All the Smartstuff collections truly live up to their name — and the Bellamy is no exception. The Cheval Storage Mirror provides hidden storage for jewelry and other accessories, and the XOXO Desk and coordinating chair include an ergonomic guide and a storage seat. Each dresser includes a flip-down drawer that’s perfect for technology such as gaming systems, as well as a felt-lined tray for special treasures and removable partitions in some drawers.
Night Stands include built-in lighting and charging stations for iPods and other devices, and for the top bunk of the Bunk Bed, you can add a removable tray we call a Nightstand-in-the-Sky. Trundles can provide additional sleeping space or under-bed storage, and alternative beds include the Daydreamer’s Day Bed or the Trellis Bed — both perfect for day-time lounging or night-time sleep. Little extras add to the thoughtful — extras like exercise guides in the Chest and coasters in the Night Stand, Folding Boards in the Dresser, and a World Map in the Hutch.
If you’ve been thinking you need to choose between tech-friendly options, quality construction, and pretty appearance, with Bellamy, you don’t have to choose! It’s the perfect furniture collection for your little princess, and we’re sure that she’ll be thanking you ever after.
