Keep a Trick Up Your Sleeve with Maxtrix Kids Furniture

Last updated on February 9, 2018 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

Many successful companies owe long-term success to a combination of hard work, luck, and something a little less talked about: serendipity. The coffee giant, Starbucks, has had a storied history of incorporating unique strategies in order to promote their continued success. The same kind of creative innovation that fueled the corporation’s reinvention of the coffee house as a “third place” is continuing to help it grow, year after year.

The same kind of reinvention is key to parenting. Kids need structure, sure, but they also thrive and flourish when they’re surprised and delighted. How do you do that without breaking the bank — and driving yourself crazy? As far as bedroom furniture goes, the Maxtrix® system at The Bedroom Source might be your solution.

Building Blocks

The Basic Daybed is the cornerstone of the Maxtrix® system. You’ll have your choice of finishes that will set the stage for the color of the other pieces in your Maxtrix furniture collection: Chestnut, Natural, or White. You’ll also get to choose the headboard style: Curved, Panel, or Slatted. Simply pair the Maxtrix Daybed with a low-profile mattress and you have a starting point! You can keep the bed at that level and still add toddler safety rails or underbed storage.

For a touch of serendipity, we suggest unveiling your child’s new bed and keeping some added items in storage, ready to be added when you think a little reinvention would be good. At this level, you could easily add a bed-top tent (in any of 11 fabric options) for younger children or custom cushions and pillows for the older set. Especially for girls, the Princess Poster Bed set includes canopy fabric!

Building Plans

What do you do with building blocks? You build with them, of course! The same basic Maxtrix Day Bed can be rearranged into a storage bed, loft bed, or bunk bed (see video below).

With special Maxtrix “Rock Lock” connectors and leg-extension kits (see video below), the bed can be safely elevated to various heights: low, medium, high, or ultra-high. For loft or bunk beds, you can choose a Straight Ladder, Angled Ladder, or Side Stairs.

Perhaps one day, you’ll surprise your child by elevating his or her bed. That will be exciting enough, and you can wait for another opportunity to add a Slide, Under-Bed Curtain, or Tower Top Tent. Perhaps you’re going to start letting your child have friends spend the night — what better way to let them know than by converting your child’s bed into a Bunk Bed?!

Back-to-School Renovations

When spring break or summer comes to an end, sometimes it’s hard to be motivated to hit the books again. On the other hand, back-to-school time provides the perfect opportunity for another addition to your Maxtrix collection! Desks and hutches can stand alone, or desks can be placed beneath loft beds to create a study loft. For older kids, a High Study Loft might be the right choice; a Storage Bed could work for any age.
