Physical health, emotional health, mental health — it’s all part of the gift we all want to give our kids. While there are some aspects of health that we simply can’t control, the Maxtrix® Children’s Furniture System, featured at our Long Island furniture showroom, can help us with the parts we can. Since our children spend from 8 to 12 hours in bed each night, their beds and bedroom environments are significant factors in their overall health and well-being.
Safe and Secure
The Maxtrix bed utilizes a structurally sound slat roll foundation to support the low-profile mattress of your choice. Other safety provisions for loft and bunk beds include extra-deep ladder steps or staircases, extra high guard rails, and Rock-Lock Connectors for ultimate stability.
Not only does Maxtrix provide for safety, but it also provides a coherent storage scenario to reduce clutter and allow for visual calm for those who are especially sensitive to sensory stimuli. After a day at school or in other sometimes over-stimulating environments, your child can come into his Maxtrix-furnished room and feel a sense of calm.
Room To Move
Sometimes a sense of calm isn’t achieved by lack of sensory input, but by releasing stress hormones and using all that pent-up energy your child has had to hold in, all. day. long. If your child’s room doesn’t have space for the raw materials of creativity, you can essentially create extra floor space by lifting the Maxtrix Basic Bed into a Loft Bed. The extra space can provide a place for a tumbling mat or a small trampoline. Or you could use the under-bed space for Maxtrix storage pieces, freeing up the rest of the room for all sorts of active play solutions.
You may want to use this play room design for ideas or go all out with a rock wall for your extra-active kids like this mom did.
Personal Space
While your child’s room is certainly part of your home, it’s also your child’s personal space — a place to reflect his or her interests and style. That doesn’t mean you have to let your son paint the woodwork or giver your daughter free reign to decorate everything in pink glitter, but you can let them make a few choices.
For younger kids, you can let them choose from Maxtrix accessories like our Under-Bed Curtain , Slide, Top Tent — or go old school with blankets and cardboard boxes. The space under your child’s bed can transform into a pirate ship, princess castle, or a secret cave.
Of course, at some point, they’ll grow out of that stage, but with Maxtrix, you can re-arrange the furniture, change out accessories, and even alter bed height — giving kids the chance to let their personal space reflect the changes they’re experiencing as they grow.
