In our previous post about Study Loft Beds, we hinted at the amazing — you might even say “magical” — multitasking abilities of the Maxtrix® Furniture System, which utilizes remarkable forward thinking in allowing the very same bed to convert from a Day Bed to a Low Loft Bed with Slide, then a Staircase Bunk Bed, Low Loft Storage Bed, a High Study Loft, and back again, as your child’s needs change. We’ll look at just a few of those possibilities in this post.
Maxtrix® High Study Loft
While it doesn’t convert in seconds, the Maxtrix High Study Loft is available with your choice of an angled ladder, straight ladder, or side staircase with drawers and comes in either Twin or Full size. The High Loft Bed offers a 52-inch clearance under the top bed and is also available as an Ultra High Loft, which offers a 58-inch clearance but doesn’t allow for the staircase option.
You can choose to use an existing desk or storage furniture or matching Maxtrix 3-drawer units that coordinate with the High Loft Desk. A 24-inch-deep Full Width Desk spans the entire length of the High Loft Bed. The Maxtrix Study Loft comes in your choice of Curved, Panel, or Slatted ends and Chestnut, Nutmeg, or White finish.
The High Study Loft measures 80 inches wide by 71 inches high. The Twin version is measures 42.5 inches deep, while the Full size measures 57.5 inches deep.
Maxtrix Bunk Bed Options
The basic Maxtrix Bunk Bed may look like a “plain Jane” bunk bed. But it’s really much more than that. Like options. Not only can the Maxtrix Bunk Bed transform into two separate Basic Beds or Loft Beds, but you can customize them in the following ways:
• Straight Ladder, Angled Ladder with Handrail, or Staircase on either side of the bed
• Low, Medium or High Heights (61 inches, 66 inches, or 71 inches)
• Twin-over-Twin, Full-over-Twin, or Full-over-Full (Note that that the Low, Twin-over-Full bed utilizes a perpendicular design, whereas the Medium Twin-over-Full bed has a parallel design.)
Optional under-bed storage options offer even more possibilities:
• Pair of Full-Depth Rolling Storage Drawers
• Rolling Slatted Trundle designed to hold an additional Twin Mattress
• Rolling Slatted Trundle with Drop-In Storage Tray
When you add in Maxtrix options like Bed-Top Tents, Under-Bed Curtains, Towers, and Slides, you have the makings of a bed that doubles as a play set — with the safety of premium Maxtrix furniture and beds tested to support 400 pounds each! With a variety of fabric choices suitable for both boys and girls, you can leverage the space-saving features of Maxtrix with the fun factor that your kids will love.
