Recommended Bookcase Beds for Kids, Part 3

Maxtrix Low Loft White Storage Bed

Bookcase Beds don’t always have a bookshelf or two built into the headboard; sometimes, they offer more traditional bookshelves positioned beneath the bed itself! If you haven’t found the perfect match for your taste and your child’s bedroom quite yet (in our first or second posts), we think these next three options are worth a look.

Maxtrix® Low Loft Storage Bed

If the idea of a low loft makes sense for your child’s room, you’ll love the possibilities that come with our exceptionally versatile Maxtrix® furniture system! The Maxtrix Low Loft Storage Bed (pictured above), including a 6-shelf end bookcase, is on display in The Bedroom Source’s Long Island showroom. Available in a Chestnut, Natural, or White finish and with a straight or angled ladder set up on either side, you’ll be impressed with the versatility and durability of Maxtrix. Curved, Panel or slatted bed ends are all available, as well. All drawers include English Dovetail construction in front and back, along with smooth dual under-mounted drawer glides. Composed of solid wood and held together with thick steel connecting bolts, the quality of the system offers safety and longevity.

As your child grows, you may want to convert the bed into a higher Study Loft or Bunk Bed, and Maxtrix allows you to do so without having to purchase an entirely new bed. As a storage loft, you could raise the bed to provide two columns with 4 or 5 rows of drawers, instead of what you see pictured above. As pictured, two columns with three storage drawers in each, along with a 6-shelf, 54-inch-wide bookcase, are included. The bed is available in both Twin size and Full size.

The Mica Storage Daybed includes both Bookshelf Headboard and shelves built into the side of the bed. It also features 4 drawers under the front of the bed and additional side storage drawers. Since the “Headboard” actually runs along the entire length of the bed, the bookshelves are longer than what most other Bookshelf Headboards offer. The Twin Daybed measures 54 inches deep by 77 inches long and 48 inches high, and the Full Daybed is 69 inches deep but has the same other measurements. The Mica line features high-quality laminates made right here on Long Island. Available in a variety of solids, patterns, and wood grain finishes, as well as custom sizing, you’re sure to be able to find or special order a Mica piece that meets your needs.
